Energy Healing

WHAT IS HEALING ENERGY

Energy Healing is a term that describes a range of healing modalities, based on the idea that we have various subtle energy channels that flow through and around our bodies. The flow of these energies is essential to our health and wellbeing. As we live our lives, these energy channels become blocked, which can then cause pain and dis-ease. Energy healing modalities can help to maintain the healthy flow of these energies in our bodies.

WHAT IS REIKI?

Reiki is a gentle hands-on energy healing method from the Japanese tradition that uses light and gentle touch to open and shift the body’s energy blockages and restore its natural balance and flow. This gentle and deceptively powerful healing modality promotes relaxation, helps to release stress, tension and pain, and encourages emotional release and balance. It was founded by Dr. Mikao Usui (1865-1926). See this article LINK for more.

WHAT DOES ANIMAL REIKI DO?

When an animals energy flow is blocked, their body’s natural self-healing system functions at a slower rate. Energy healing helps animals to possibly remove energy blocks and maintain good flow in their energy field, thereby facilitating their body to function at its optimum self-healing capacity.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A REIKI SESSION FOR PEOPLE?

When you come for a treatment, your comfort is our first priority. You’ll rest on a massage table, fully clothed, removing only your shoes, glasses, and loose jewelry. If you can’t lie that way we’ll find you a comfortable position. We can even treat you sitting in a chair. Reiki is a touch therapy, meaning that the practitioner’s hands make contact with your body or hover several inches near the area being worked on. The touch is very light, and the hands don’t massage or manipulate the tissues. Reiki treatment is completely safe, no matter what your condition.  Because the touch is light and non-invasive, Reiki is okay to use when other touch therapies are not. Reiki will not interact with the drugs you are taking or interfere with your standard medical treatment in any way. It can support the work that your doctor is doing to help you feel better.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING AN REIKI SESSION FOR ANIMALS?

Animals love the healing energy of Reiki. Sessions can be done in person in the central NJ area or remotely anywhere in the world.

WHAT ARE ORACLE CARDS

Oracle cards, like tarot, are directive tools that offer guidance, clarity, and a new perspective.  They often point to something you already knew but needed an outside vision on. Readings help you get a more clear and connected to answers you are seeking. Oracle cards spread refers to the number of cards drawn for a reading and the patterns which they are laid out. Card spreads are offered as one card, three cards, or five.

WHAT IS AN ORACLE CARD SPREAD?

One card readings work well to gain insight in response to questions. A three-card reading spread is a wonderful way to look into a specific situation or to find an in-depth answer and understanding of a challenging question (past situation, present challenge, and future guidance). A five card reading builds upon the three card spread – situation / challenge / guidance reading to offer additional insight on focus / outcome.

INTEGRATED ENERGY THERAPY

Integrated Energy Therapy (IET) is different from Reiki. Reiki is more passive as the practitioner allows the energy to flow through them. With IET, the practitioner is moving energy in and out of the body with very specific hand motions. IET works with the angels of the energy field. Each angel assists with specific emotions. IET has the saying “get the issues out of the tissues” and is a more pro-active hands yet gentle as well.

WHAT IS SOUND HEALING?

Sound Healing uses the power of sound and vibration to bring balance and health to one’s body, mind, spirit and emotions. Sound healing uses a variety of methods, instruments and recordings to bring healing vibration or music to a client.

WHAT ARE CHAKRAS?

Chakras are subtle energy centers in your body. The word “chakra” comes from Sanskrit and translates to “wheel” or “circle.” The chakra system originated in India, and came from a set of ancient sacred texts called the Vedas, dating as far back as 1500 BC. While there are many of them in your body, there are seven main chakras located along the spinal column, starting from the base of the spine, up to the top of your head. Each of the lower five chakras is associated with one of the Ayurvedic five elements – earth, water, fire, air and ether. Each of these seven has its own particular color, light and specific number of petals or segments around its center.  And each vibrates at the frequency associated with its particular color.  These chakra energy centers are said to swirl and vibrate, and they are a bridge between consciousness and the gross body. The chakras are directly associated with our physical, mental and emotional health. An imbalance or block in the energy within or around a chakra can result in issues of wellbeing.
